John Hudson is Pitch & Putt !

John Hudson was one of the major enthusiast in the “import” of the Pitch & Putt from the British Isles to the European Continent and consequently to the rest of the world.

In 1999, John Hudson founded FPP-France Pitch & Putt, thus organizing Pitch & Putt in French territory, becoming from there and until today its President.

John was involved in the founding of the EPPA-European Pitch and Putt Association in 2000 as well as in the founding of FIPPA-International Pitch and Putt Federation in 2006, having been its President for several years.

In 2009, he participated in the creation of IPPA-International Pitch & Putt Association, becoming its first President. In 2016 he passed the testimony to the current President of the IPPA, Carlo Farioli, thus becoming his Vice-President and Past-President of IPPA.

IPPA, in its reorganization and structuring process, decided to honor its Founder and one of the main leaders of this sport that is Pitch & Putt, creating a world-wide competition, to be played every two years, alternating between Europe and outside Europe, and confronting a selection of players from Europe against a selection of players from the rest of the world.

This competition, The HUDSON CUP, will begin in 2023, somewhere in a P&P course in Europe, chosen by John Hudson, among the candidates to organize this event.
